EP190A Series Enclosed Power Supply(900-1500W)

Introduction

Facing the trend of miniaturization and high power density in industrial equipment, power supplies not only need to provide stable continuous output but also must be able to handle equipment startup and sudden load changes. EDAC POWER Electronics introduces the new EP190A built-in chassis power supply, featuring a universal input voltage of 100~240VAC and a 48VDC output, providing a maximum continuous output of 900W and supporting 1500W peak output (5 seconds). The EP190A series adopts an ultra-slim, low-profile design with dimensions of 245mm (L) x 141.5mm (W) x 29mm (H) and a fanless heat dissipation architecture, making it suitable for industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, robotics, communication equipment, and other high-reliability industrial applications.

1500W Peak Output, Meeting Instantaneous Power Demands
Some industrial equipment may generate high power demands for a short period during startup or load changes. The EP190A series offers additional peak power headroom to address application scenarios such as equipment startup and sudden high loads, reducing power shortages caused by increased instantaneous power demands and improving equipment operational stability.
Compared to power supply selection based solely on continuous output power, the EP190A's peak output capability allows for greater instantaneous power headroom in equipment designs, making it suitable for industrial equipment with high startup current or short-term high load requirements.

29mm Ultra-thin Design, Balancing High Power and Installation Space
The EP190A series boasts a compact 29mm profile, significantly reducing the space occupied by the power supply. This provides more flexible power supply configuration options for industrial equipment with high internal component density and limited installation height.

Fanless Conductive-cooled design, Reducing Noise and Maintenance Needs
The EP190A series employs a fanless and conduction-cooled design, managing heat through conduction. The elimination of mechanical fans reduces noise and the risk of mechanical component failure.
With a conversion efficiency of 92%~95% and built-in active PFC, it reduces energy loss and heat generation during power conversion, balancing high power output, heat dissipation, and equipment space requirements.

Fully automatic recovery protection supports stable operation over extended periods.
For industrial equipment, the reliability and safety of power supplies are equally important. The EP190A series boasts an MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) exceeding 50,000 hours, maintaining stable performance even during prolonged operation. To ensure equipment safety, the EP190A series incorporates multiple protection mechanisms. Most importantly, all protection features include fully automatic recovery, allowing the system to immediately resume normal operation after an environmental anomaly is resolved, without manual reset. These include:

  • Short Circuit Protection (Auto Recovery)
  • Over Voltage Protection (Auto Recovery)
  • Over Current Protection (Auto Recovery)
  • Over Temperature Protection (Auto Recovery)

The EP190A series can operate in environments ranging from -20°C to 40°C and complies with international safety standards such as IEC/EN 62368-1 and IEC/EN 61558-1 / 61558-2.16, meeting the safety requirements for information technology and industrial applications.
